Welcome to our Dunbar in Bloom website. We are currently undergoing some training and improvements to our site. In the meantime please refer to our Facebook page for our recent activities and correspondence.
You will note that our header page shows our new logo. We have recently had a competition at Dunbar primary schools to design a new logo and the results will be published soon.
We are delighted with our Silver Gilt award from the Beautiful Scotland judging panel, in this, our second year of entering the competition. Despite the slow start to the summer, the judges were impressed with our links to John Muir and working with so many local groups to make the town a more beautiful place to be.
Derek Robertson, Chief Executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, commented, “East Lothian has excelled this year, with Dunbar being bestowed the Silver Gilt Award in the Coastal Town Category; Blooming Haddington awarded Gold, and scooping the overall win in the Medium Town Category and East Lothian Council receiving the Wright Sustainability Award. I would like to congratulate them all for their efforts to make Scotland a cleaner, greener place for us all to enjoy today and tomorrow.”

A big thank you , to everyone for their hard work, towards the 2014 RHS Beautiful Scotland competition.
Graeme and Sarah, attended the prize giving at Dundee on Friday and came back with the great news, of our first community entry, winning a SILVER medal!!
The judges will send their marking sheets to us in the next week or so, to allow us to see where marks were gained and where we can make improvements. We will post these here.
Well done everyone.
