Dunbar has entered the Beautiful Scotland campaign.

Dunbar has entered the Coastal Town for this years Beautiful Scotland campaign.
The Beautiful Scotland campaign aims to encourage community participation through horticulture and environmental quality improvement work. Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB), Scotland’s environmental charity, is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Britain in Bloom Federation, delivering the Beautiful Scotland campaign in Scotland.
Whilst there is a competitive element to the Beautiful Scotland campaign, winning prizes isn’t the main objective of taking part; by doing our bit in our own community, we are contributing to making Scotland clean and green. The emphasis of this years campaign is:  horticultural achievement, environmental responsibility, community participation and sustainability.
Dunbar in Bloom are coordinating Dunbar’s entry into this competition and bringing together local groups and projects to be part of this years entry into the Coastal Town Category. Sustaining Dunbar has kindly supplied the entry fee and working with us to develop a map which will take visitors around to see all the growing projects being included in our entry.
If you are interested in getting involved in this years competition – either by including your growing project or to assist with the campaign please come out to this evenings Dunbar in Bloom meeting 7:15 pm at the Royal Mac.
For more information about this initiative please see here: Entrants Manual 2014
